Made in Tuscany, Italy, each NIKITA leather piece is designed in-house and developed for the way it holds light, movement, and presence.
Crafted with careful construction and a deep respect for material, many NIKITA leathers are custom-developed with delicate finishes, foiling, embossing, printing, or other signature surface treatments. These treatments are designed to preserve a particular texture, suppleness, and dimensional surface, making each piece feel more alive, while also more sensitive to marks, moisture, heat, and repeated friction.
A living material, leather may change, soften, and gain depth with time. Natural variations in grain, texture, tone, and finish are not flaws. They reveal the material's transparency — its ability to show what it is rather than conceal it.
Protect It From Bad Weather
Leather is sensitive to natural elements: water, oil, heat, light, and environments that are too humid or too dry. Protect it from prolonged exposure to intense light and heat, including direct sunlight, windows, radiators, and warm surfaces, as this may alter the color or finish.
If the leather comes into contact with water, wipe it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth. This will help prevent stains, marks, and changes to the surface.
Keep It Away From Bad Influences
Some materials can leave permanent marks on leather, including ink, makeup, lipstick, perfume, alcohol-based products, oils, and dark or raw textiles.
Repeated friction, pressure, or contact with rough surfaces may also affect delicate finishes. To preserve the garment's surface and silhouette, avoid overloading pockets, sharply folding the piece, or allowing it to rub repeatedly against bags, jewelry, hardware, or textured fabrics.
Let It Rest
To preserve the garment's silhouette, keep it on a wide or padded hanger in a cool, dry space away from direct light. Fasten zippers or closures before hanging, and allow the piece enough room to rest naturally, without being crushed, sharply folded, or compressed.

Commercial leather care products may not be suitable for NIKITA's custom-developed leathers and delicate surface treatments. To avoid permanent damage, do not attempt to clean, condition, steam, or treat the leather yourself.
