I moved to Japan to begin the house in a place where craft is not a marketing word. Where finishing is a duty. Where silence around a piece is respect, not absence. The debut had to be made here. Every sample was cut, fitted and re-fitted in a Tokyo atelier. The patterns were drawn beside seamstresses who taught me to slow down.
MATERIALS
Designed with feeling. NIKITA is built on 100% natural fibers because materials hold energy. Every garment from the Debut collection is made from mulberry silk, silk chiffon and organza; with the exception of the handcrafted Japanese obi belts, which are traditionally woven with blended fibers. To maintain skin-level integrity and comfort, each one is couture-finished and fully lined with pure silk. The fabrics were hand-picked in Japan from textile houses and hidden archives. What began as sourcing turned into something more; a deep respect for craft. The materials of The Debut collection were carried across the world with purpose, and are collector's pieces by nature. Future collections will evolve in size and structure, but always protected with a forever commitment to natural fibers, energy, and material integrity. Scale should not equal dilution or compromises, every garment should feel just as unforgettable as it looks.
